have a 2001 V6 galaxy and have now noticed a problem with the driver door alarm led light. When driving, this light has started to flash about twice a second while driving . Has any one any idea what the problem could be. I have also started to notice that the battery is discharging faster when parked up. A new battery was fitted but it has made no change to its life. The dischage is about 0.85 amp.

That's a lot!! Are the pin switches working properly on all doors, including the bonnet?

Has one of the kids left one of those daft little lights on above the back seats? It's happened to me.

I have checked that all lights are switched off everywere. All door and hood switches seem to be ok. It just seems that the led light is flashing about twice the speed it used to. I think it used to flash fast for a short period when locked then slow down, now it flashes at the same speed all the time after its locked.

Check all wires between driver's door and the A-post; maybe some have broken and are shorting out (either to each other, or to the vehicle body)
